Just got a new password for my blog, i think it's been about 2 years since i was in here, al least!! The last thing i posted was about Tony's 40th!! errrrr i think he's 43 now.....

One of my lil brothers is 40 end of this month, so I am

making him a scrapbook of some photo's that I have,

just something for him to have a smile at and maybe

he will remember those times too :) It's a surprise, he

won't find out yet cos he is on hols with his partner, they

come home the day of his BBQ at my parents,, here is a

few of the layouts I am doing, I will try to do 40, but we

will see if there is enough time :)

Was it Feb when i last posted, life is whizzin by eh :)
Still working, her, i think they like me, hehe..... work
with a great bunch of people and the pay isn't bad either...
What's happened?? Claire & Mark have bought a house
and have another lil dog, Chris & Nicola have bought a house
too and move in in a couple of weeks...... I booked a holiday,
yay!!! 2 weeks in Mexico in a few months, expensive but I
think it will be worth it :) that's it for now, will have to try
and pop in more often eh Mum :)

We went for a meal on the Sunday night, it was Chris's Birthday on the Monday, had a really nice Chinese meal, pricey but VERY nice :) Mike wasn't there her was in Dubai visiting his Brother and getting his PADI certification, he wan't to go diving on hols :)

Had a nice night and Chris was surprised at his gift, he didn't think we would get him the bracelet that he wanted :)

Ian was 50 the other week, I have been friends with Joyce his wife since the kids first started school in 1988, that's a LONNNNNG time :) We had a great night, the party was at the kids old primary school and lots of people from school and Church were there, the kids were amazed to see old pupils, teachers, dinner ladies etc :) there were just soooooo many people there, hope you had a great night Ian :)

I CAN'T believe that I haven't updated since September!!! that's probably because I started my new job in October, wow,,,, well i guess i have been busy, lol.
Can't update it all now, there's just too much! Just going to post a few layouts that I've finished,,,,, Went for a perm position on Friday for where I am working, (i'm on Agency) and I think I blew it :(, you know when you go for an interview and you come out and all these bloody things start popping into your head, why didn't I say this? can't believe I didn't say that! hope I get it but they have interviewed soooo many that I may not :( oh well, we will see,,, i WILL update and let you all know :)
so....... let's see, the other weekend I had a 40th on Fri night, a 50th on Sat night and my Son's meal out Sunday night, I was soooooo tired after that, got an iffy tummy too, so I lost a days pay on the Monday as I was poorly sick :(

Just had my niece & nephew overnight, it was Mums birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday Sam) and they went out to get hammered! hehe, suffered for it today though :) Kids were Angels, god knows what that child psychologist was on about?????? haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa just kidding, cost me a fortune in chicken dippers and sweets, have you SEEN the price of kids comics!!!!! thank G my kids buy their own mags now!!! hehe,,, still enjoyed them staying, cheap at half the price,,,,, have a great week at school monsters, see you soon, huggers from Auntie S. xxx xxx

OMG! our passports ran out, sooooo, off to Max Sp to get some new pics done before they hike up the passport costs in October..... bloody nora, have we changed,, then i said to Mike that we look better now than we did in '97,,, so therefore in 2017 (did i just type that!?) we should look bloody gorgeous, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, not a chance!!!!!

I am so glad it's Sunday, what a week!! can't tell you anything about it or you will think I live in some crime riddled town!!! why is it that the little scum bags always seem to wriggle out of what they do, the world has no consequences anymore and my faith in the justice system remains intact, or in other words shaky!!! grrrrrrr!

On a lighter note, my Sisiter should be back from Turkey, Mum should be back from Spain and my Niece turned 8 last Friday, what a cutie :) hiya monster :)

Tommorrow is the start of my supposed 2nd week annual hols, and I am working, sigh! need the money and I would only sit on my PC all day anyway :) oh well, there's always Christmas if I can afford it, lol.....

Chris is counting down the days to his Florida trip and Claire is going onto her 4th and final week of training in Wimbledon for her new job, so far she loves it, she will do just great :)

Darren if you are reading, hope you are feeling so much better since your Op, just sit back for the next 2 weeks and practice on your guitar :) waiting for a clip of you on media file, hehe,,,,

Trevs got a shiny new car, see how all the good stuff happens to others in my family, cars, hols, etc etc,,, whats been good for me this week, hmmmm, well I guess the men in white coats haven't carted me off yet so that's pretty cool, lol,,,, and someone told me I was beautiful, bless, taking them for their annual eye test next week, I think their prescription may need strengthening!!

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs M&M Oates :) My Sister Maria got married on Sunday, as usual the weather was c**p BUT, it didn't spoil the day, the Wedding was beautiful, everyone looked so great and Maria looked simply beaut9iful, she did ALL day, must be love :) Everything went great, no hitches that I saw, the bridesmaids were plenty and gorgeous and everyone really enjoyed the day. P*****g it down AGAIN!!!!! there,,, got that one out of the way :) K, catchup....found out last Friday that I got another job, so now I have 3 casual jobs, lol, should be able to fill the hours with those I think :).... Saturday, went to the Craft Show at the G-Mex in Manchester... got the supplies to make my Sisters Wedding card (always on the last Min!!!!!) there was soooooooooo much stuff there that I could have bought but I am skint, payday is the 13th, oh well, the next one is in February I will just start saving..... forgot to take a photo of it, it was nice even if I say so myself,, more in a mo...Twiggs xxx

The weeks are going past way too fast! this week has been a blur, working all week, trying to find something to wear for my sister Maria's wedding on Sunday! aarrgggghhhhhh, I HATE clothes shopping,, sorted now anyway :)

Off to the x-stitch show at the G-Mex centre with my Mum & friend tomoz, couldn't have come at a worse time, I am skint! new job doesn't pay out until 15th sept, neeeeeeed a cash injection for these shows... oh well next time :)

Today all over the news is the 10th Anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, I really can't believe it's 10 years! We were in the middle of the Channel on a ferry coming home from France when they announced she was dead, OMG, I am not really a big royalist but that was soooooo sad, poor Prince's. So this weekend it will be full of all that on the TV, think I might join in with the rest of the world and scrap a page,, will post again after the wedding, byeeeeeee, oh just remembered, had my haircut, lol, swore I wouldn't do that agian before a wedding (due to past nightmare's!!!) BUT it was a state, looks kinda like a feather cut, hey does that mean I am 13 again, lol....

Well, we didn't get to go up to Manchester for the parade, Mike isn't 'feel' like it :( BUT we did get to go and visit my bro-in-law and family at their new house, and as usual I took my camera :). My niece was hammin' it up in her new Bratz bedroom and feather hat and my nephew was giving us all a taste of things to come with his electric guitar, look out rock world of 2017 he is on his way :)

Parade time again :)

The year has flown past and it's time for Manchester Pride again :)

Is it Sunday, gawd!!! another 2 days just gone, poof!!
Spent all day yesterday at Camelot with the young people I work with on Saturdays and it rained, ok so I know I complain about the weather but it's mid August for gods sake! we should all be walking around with burn shoulders and noses now... well we got wet, they went on rides and i took pictures and managed not to throw up on the coach on the way home! phew... today I am doing NOTHING, i think hubs wanted to go out but I am so weary, just want to sit and play catch up on the PC, need to get in here and update more too, thanks Tammy for the push :)
OK.... since May, hehe, not really, I will concise it somewhat.... got new job, left job, got another job, need more work, another interview tomoz, graduated, lived, ate, slept, finished, seeeeeee that wasn't so bad huh?
Still scrappin, still tubin (not so my group would notice mind you, soz) will put up a link to some freebies in a min, just catching up....

Well who cares if it's rained for a week non-stop,,, I start my job on Monday, yay, got an induction in Manchester on Monday morning then off to where i will be based, at last I am joining the madding crowd, :) Not sure how it will all pan out yet, got so used to being at home and having bags of spare time, hmmm, oh well, the pay will be enough to keep me from thinking too much!
What else,,, Kirsti had her prom (my Niece), Chris should be back in work next week, empty house, now there's a new concept! Claire has booked ANOTHER bloody holiday!!! oh well if you can afford it do it, they will be off to Ibiza soon, girls trip & boys trip, recipe for disaster and some very heavy drinking prob, lol,,,
Tonight i sat watching the TV and an ad came on for owning caravans in Wales, and it looked appealing, you know, pack a few things Fri night, come back Sun night!!!! arrrrgggghhhh, bloody hell it hit me, i am getting older, middle aged whatever!!! my bowchickawowwow just doesn't 'bow' anymore :(...... who cares, i have a job, woohoo...

18 years old, just left home, grotty bedsit, full-time college amounts to what? paaaaaaaaaartyaay, hehe, boy those were good years, perm broke, scraping by, ?? hang on, no change there then, ha, just more grey hairs i guess, oops i meant to say SILVER hairs, and NO the permnCols for your hair do NOT cover the silver ones, well maybe for a week, oh well i guess i earned them all :)

This kit is just great, I LOVE the bright colours and the ethnic feel, very flower power,, kit is called Bollywood and is by Scrap Girl aka Jana McCarthy and i will be watching out for more of her stuff :)

Ok time for a laugh, got a new kit called 'The 70's Scene' from Carla Ware over at www.3scrapateers.com and have been digging out old photo's, these were taken when i was around 11 or 12 and wouldya just look at that floral dress and matching pants, haaaaaaaaaa, we thought we were sooo COOL. Made a top 20 (pop pickers) of things i remember from then, oh and the answer to the last question is 'David' you will know what i mean if you were a teen in the 70's, lol. I am going to have to be more careful with passwords, I am the worlds worst at remembering them geesh, been almost a month since i last posted.... Chris is still off with his leg, the tendons may be torn and he may need an op for that, he is NOT happy, him & his girlfriend are off to Florida in October, he is supposed to be slamin in the overtime to pay for it,, ooops...

I GOT A JOB, yaaaaaaaaay, AT LAST, pay could be better but onwards and upwards and it's better than no pay at all.

Got a letter through today about the Graduation ceremony, they didn't do one for us last year as there was only around 100 grads, it was a small course, so they kindly tagged us onto this years Grads, how NICE of them grrrrrr,,, sooooo I guess it will be the cap & gown thing, lol, oh my, 46 years old too, good thing there were a lot of 'mature' students on the course, lol,,, may get a photo done too, we will see. Daughter is doing ok, planning her next hols and going into the possibility of building her own home, well obviously the workers would do that, lol,,, here's a layout i did with a new kit i got, the photo is Claire & Mark in Paris a few years ago, taken at the top of the Eiffel Tower, awwwww how romantic.

Not a lot really, waiting on a call for a 2nd interview for a job, got through the first bit :)

Mikes been off this week and we've done nowt cos we are stoney!!!!! Went out for Chinese one lunch and that's about it really! My sister is 40 on Sunday (soz Maria) and we are all off to another Chinese :) A bit bored at the mo, need this job and we can start to breathe again..... Interview time again...

Got another interview tomoz, fingers crossed i will get this one, i NEED to work!!! the last one said that i didn't sell myself enough so this one is going to get it all, work, experience, everything (that's relevant of course!) i am starting to get a complex here, the last of the great unwanted, sign, .....injects a little self pity here..... we will see.
Claire and Mark are back from Kenya next Tuesday, it's gone really fast but i have still missed seeing them, i bet they are having a great time, the first 4 days they spent on a Safari trip and then flew off for the rest of the beach holiday, can't wait to see all the pics, those two are really getting around at the moment! Right off to salvage my haircut, just had it done and i never like it for at least two weeks after, kinda defeats the whole point of having it cut really, hehe.

The Villa we stayed in was a nice surprise, much larger than we expected and it had a large sun terrace leading out from the bedrooms, the smell was wonderful too with all the Jasmine growing up the side of the property, nice quiet place to stay with the town just 10mins away in the car, the weather was gorgeous, soon goes cold at night when the sun has gone down though, brrrrrrrr, the locals were all in jeans, jumpers and coats, it was just us crazy tourists that went around in shorts and t-shirts, lol, we are so sun starved here :)

Had a great break away, Nerja was a nice place to stay, we are glad we hired a car too and travelled up and down the coast visiting places, we were able to get up into the hills too to visit the quaint villages, the Spanish just seem to keep building up and up and up, the cars can only make it so far so the villagers must all have pretty good tickers! Frigilliana and Mijas were both really pretty with the white-washed walls and brights flowers everywhere, you could take a horse drawn carriage around the cobbled streets of Mijas or just sit in a restaurant eating your lassagne and taking in the panoramic views, sigh, life is hard!

It's going by so fast, what's going on!!!! please someone slowdown time just for a short while!!

Tomoz we are off to Nerja in the South of Spain, not been before but i am told that it's really pretty :) hired a car for 5 days so we will be able to get out and about with the camera's, it will be so great to photograph warm places instead of the UK drizzle, ewww..

Got another job interview for the 15th March, will i be ready, i'd better be, time to sit on the sun lounger and read up on a few things :) (if i get the chance!) charged up all the camera batteries almost finished the ironing!!!!

what happened, where did January go?
Well the diet was a non-starter, lets try
something else! selotape? maybe it would work
if I stick down as well as across, hmmm...
Well it was my birthday yesterday and i
treated myself to some new digi-kits, yay,
and i did a couple of layouts with one called
'Winter Brights' by Lianne Carpenter over
at 3scrapateers :) it's nice and colourful and
grungy too. Used a couple of new-oldie photo's
that i got from my Mums PC on Tuesday, i
haven't seen them before, my Grandad gave
them to her, looooove really old pics, the first
one is above and the 2nd one is me in my pram,
i think it's a really early one, i can't have been
more than a few weeks old?

WOW! Thursday already! This week is going by so fast.
The little lad with chicken pox has been sooooo good I
hardly knew he was here :) didn't have him today as
I had a job interview at Lunchtime, that went really
well, easy to get to and the people seem really nice and
friendly, fingers crossed now, I really want this job, I
need to get back into working again, and this time for
REAL money :) hopefully I will hear from them early
next week.... here's hoping, sounds like the kind of
place I would like to work....
Got to go out tonight, the weather is wicked but I have a
meeting to get to, sheesh, it's too cold for that.. I was sat
at some traffic lights today and the car was rocking with
the wind, so glad I don't live near the coast, wow!
you could actually see the wind whistling by with all
brown leaves in it, there are bits of branches and fence
panels all over the place, had to go on a hunt for my
dustbin today, lol, it was in some ladies garden up
the street! got my little spotty friend coming tomoz
until lunchtime, then I am going to sit at my PC and

Well I will try not to hit enter before I actually type any entry, lol...

14th of Jan already, whoosh, there it went, 2 weeks into 2007 and I finally get around to adding to this oh so boring blog! frankly if it hadn't have been for those incredibly frequent and annoying diet ads I may not have returned!
Is anyone else sick of them yet? oh god let's just get on with it.... Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life, blah blah, I'm sure you've heard it all before, (well Mike has anyway!) OK TV, you win, I start ANOTHER diet tomoz, you win, or should that be I win? hmmmmm here we go again, THIS time it will be different, again! AND................ I chose the very same day to look after a little 5 year old boy with chicken pox, errrrrr, maybe not my wisest of moves but it gives me a goal in life, lol.... why would anyone believe me anyway, this is possibly the millionth (is that a word?) diet that I have been on, I am an expert in all and a completer of none :( do they sew lips together? naaaahhhhh I just need the addy of the nearest Weight Whales, oh joy, we can all smile our plastic - I am special - grins together and all rush home to that hidden packet of crisps (oh yessss, i know!)
Got to be better than getting your fat arse stuck in the garden furniture again, oh boy was that a memorable event, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, not going to want to repeat that any time soon,,, enough said I think...... maybe it could be my party piece, NOT! K fingers crossed, quick prayer for strength, let's just get through the next 24 hours and see what life throws at me, if you don't hear from me soon, send over a packet of jaffa's PULEEEEZE,,,,

Koh Phangan

wow! not been in here for ages! since I last posted Claire has been to
Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket,
Koh Samui and they are now in Koh Phangan! hehe, they get around
a bit don't they! Still miss them both like mad but what an experience
for them both :)
Nothing new back home, still applying for jobs, done my Xmas shopping
(thank god!) the crouds are manic this year.....
Don't know where Claire will be from the 9th to 14th, she forgot to
write it in the diary she left me... hmmm, suppose I can text her...

Kuala Lumpur

Claire and Mark should be in Kuala Lumpur for the next three days,
taking it easy, what else :) Got a postcard and letter from when they
were on the Orient Express, so I will be scrapping those, what else, lol,,,
they were on a river cruise the other day, she texted me, waiting for my
phone call on Sunday, to see what they have been up to....
Nothing new for me on the job front, just had my interview and signed
up to a recruitment agency, so hopefully that will help, still keep looking
for a job though.

Chiang Mai

Well Mark & Claire flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai today,
they can relax for a few days before going back to Bangkok.
I miss seeing them soooo much, the time is going by fast
though, I hope it's not going too fast for them :)
Didn't get the job I went for, other applicants with more
experience :( oh well, keep looking....

Where??

Not sure where Claire is now, she phoned me on Saturday and
said that she was changing the holiday plans, they wanted
to stay in some of the destinations longer after seeing them.
Sooooo she was in Bangkok 4th and 5th and then moved to
Pattaya where she should stay until the 8th, then back to
Bangkok 8th & 9th,, she will text me probably :) sounds like
they are having a great time, they went on a high speed
train that was going about 200 miles per hour, it was capable
of 300 mph!!! OMG! don't tell me any more, tell me when you
are safe home again, sheesh! i worry enough,,, love you two :)

Orient Express

Got a text from Claire today, they flew from Hong Kong to Kualla Lumpur
on 1st November so that they could join the Orient Express on the 2nd,
their departure on the OE was delayed so they were put up in Ritz Carlton
and offered a 5* dinner (she had lobster, lol),,,, you know when things go
wrong for them they always come up smelling of roses!!! they will have a
great time I am sure :) waiting for my postcard from Japan just now.......

Day of rest? probably not :)
Went to Blackpool with a group of young people yesterday, we saw an Ice Show and walked along the windy and later drizzly sea front, didn't get to see the lights, again!,, the queue of cars and coaches was just ridiculous, we moved about 100yards in half an hour and had to leave to get back for the parents to pick the kids up,,, maybe next year then....
Got an email from Claire and Mark,,,, yesterday they went to Mount Fuji,,

and today they are going to Kyoto, she is going to use up her memory cards for her camera soooo fast, I guess she will just buy more, she's in the right place to get them cheap enough :)

Hong Kong to Tokyo

Well yesterday Claire & Mark landed in Hong Kong and today
they flew from there to Tokyo, they get to spend five days there
before flying off someplace new :) I guess with all the travel they
will be tired and catch up on sleep, not!! I can't see them sleeping
with so much to see, lol, and photograph, she only went on Weds
and I miss her not calling :)

Todays the day

Well in a few hours i am off to take Claire & Mark to the Airport!
They are going to the far east for 8 weeks, yikes!that's ages!
No more daily phone calls, no more tea's at Mums! :) They are
going to have a fantastic time and I hope she gets to some internet
cafe's and sends me a message or two, I have her itinery and am
going to update this blog as and when :) They are back just before
Christmas, yay... that would have been wierd, Christmas without
one of the kids!
K, that's me for now, off to get petrol and pump up the tyres :)

i am bored!! it's been thundering and lightening and my PC has been turned
off so many times today...
still hunting for a job,,,,,,,, question? if you have been studying for the past 3-4
years how are you supposed to gain experience in what you are studying! what
with practice placements and saturday jobs where was i supposed to get another
40 hours per week, grrrrr,,,
i thought the whole country was supposed to be short of social workers? is it just
me that they don't want! oh oh paranoia is kicking in, need caffeine fast.....
just ignore me, it's not a good day today, best i stay on the PC for a bit :) i could
switch on my MSN,,, god i need to get a life, lol....
